Project Aim
This project is a dam in the headwaters of the Great Forester River catchment to supply irrigation water to agricultural areas downstream. Located near South Springfield (south of Scottsdale) the irrigable area extends to the coastal land behind Bridport.
Intending irrigators represent the rich diversity of of primary industry enterprises in the area including beef, potatoes, cropping, aquaculture, hops, dairy and vegetables.
The dam wall will be 350m long and 16.5m high.
