Developing regionally significant irrigation schemes is an iterative process. The capacity and extent of individual schemes - and therefore their design - is refined as the results of irrigator feedback, technical and scientific studies and planning approvals are progressively known. The irrigable areas of the schemes are likely to fall within the shaded areas shown but will not necessarily cover their full extent.
